Wye Valley Precision Engineering Ltd. are pleased to announce that, after completing a 4 day audit, their Certification body SGS have recommended that they be awarded the prestigious Automotive Quality Standard TS16949. This in addition to the ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 standards currently held by Wye Valley.
Wye Valley Precision Engineering (Holdings) Ltd. are pleased to announce they have been recommended for the “Aerospace Quality Standard AS 9100 Rev. C.” and hope to be able to display the prestigious Certificate and add it to their web site shortly.
The resulting seal has reduced the production cost for the seal by 20% and has given them a more durable solution, with a significantly shorter lead-time. The Wye Valley Precision Engineering team plays a key role in this client’s supply chain and are now evaluating further rubber moulding requirements within the group.

Wye Valley Precision Engineering now automatically assembles all the components through rubber to metal bonding, as part of the production process. This has reduced costs and production lead times as required and the connectors are now more durable and less prone to failure through human error.

Installation of a Hurco vertical machining centre (VMC) in the tool room at the Ross-on-Wye factory of rubber mouldings manufacturer, Wye Valley Precision Engineering, has resulted in much faster availability of mould tools compared with when the company was using a manual-tool-change CNC mill. A typical middle plate in P20 tool steel is now programmed and machined in six hours, whereas the same job used to take a week.
